Our Response to COVID-19

During these unprecedented times, we want to assure you that from the onset of COVID-19, Sierra was able to quickly adapt and remain fully operational, continuing to deliver on the promises our clients and study sites expect from us.


At Sierra, we understand our responsibility to the various communities we operate in and nothing is more important than the health and wellness of our team, sponsors, site staff and study subjects. In response to the coronavirus, we are adhering to the following sustainable strategies:


  • Our team of experts have always been empowered to work remotely at their respective locations around the globe. So, we have been able to continue to operate as usual regardless of any challenges caused by the virus.
  • We have put in place strict policies governing basic workplace health & safety, and have limited business travel and site visits to an as needed basis, so possible risks of infection can be minimized.
  • At the onset of the pandemic, remote monitoring was enhanced to provide sites an easy method for upload of source documentation to our EDC platform. This capability has allowed our team to continue monitoring efforts remotely and as seamlessly as possible.
  • As a result of our digitally based service model, we are able to fulfill all project requirements in a timely and comprehensive manner.
  • At Sierra, we believe in open and ongoing communication with all our clients and study sites. As we monitor developments that surround COVID-19, we will make sure to keep you abreast of any changes in our strategies.

On a personal note, I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to the individuals and families affected by COVID-19. I understand that this outbreak has been a source of uncertainty and worry in many workplaces and homes. However, I am confident that a united effort on our part can help us to overcome the worst effects of the coronavirus and return us to normalcy, together, transforming vision research.
